Here's what's happening NOW at GSACC...
BIG CHANGES COMING TO all GSACC Competitions in 2024
Starting with the January 2024 PRINT competition meeting our print competitions will be held on the 1st Thursday (instead of the 3rd Thursday) of the month at the Lions Field Adult Center, 2809 Broadway, San Antonio, TX 78209. Our Education ZOOM meeting will now switch to the 3rd Thursday of the month. Our digital competitions will still be held on ZOOM and they also will move to the first Thursday of the month.
Also there will now only be 3 categories for entry. Pictorial, Black and White (Monochrome), and Nature. This is to give the judges, photographers and possibly some of the audience members time to comment on photos.
Please note that 2024 membership fees are now due. You can print out a membership form from our website page "JOINING & CONTACTING GSACC", or by clicking on the FORM, print it, and send it along with your check to our current Treasurer at:
Susie Kain

San Antonio, TX 78250

Peter Florczak runs the Zoom meetings. He will send out links to the meetings from the GSACC group list. (If you didn't get an invitation you can email the club at gsacc.sa@gmail.com.) Within the email will be the link that will connect you to the meeting. The meeting number and password aren't needed. Just click the link. If you have problems, you can go to Zoom.us and click the 'join meeting' link. Here you will need the meeting number and password from the email . We highly recommend you go to http://www.Zoom.us and register. That way when you click the link, your name shows up on the waiting list and on screen. If not there is only a number on the screen.

Thursday May 2nd at 7:30 pm is our PRINT competition.
Please note that for 2024 we have changed the categories to only 3! Both Print and digital will now have PICTORIAL, BLACK & WHITE and NATURE.
To enter the PRINT competition, you must upload a 2MB image on the PRINT SUBMISSION PAGE on this website, https://www.gsacc.org/print-submission-page.html The page then automatically sends the images to our PRINT chairman who will keep them for posting the winners on this website and keeping them for End of Year Award judging. (I hear that there might be ribbons, certificates and cash awards?) You should get a reply in a day or so that your images have been received.
You then need to bring your prints to on completion night by 6:30 PM to enter them for on-site judging.
Remember to follow all the rules for submitting a print. Entry rules can be found out at https://www.gsacc.org/competition-rules--how-to-enter.html
THINGS TO DO FOR PRINT COMPETITION
1. Make sure that your GSACC membership is current. You can also pay your dues before the competition at Lions Field Adult Center and still compete. Remember that you do not need to be a member to attend, only if you want to compete!

3. Correctly name all of your entries (see “Labeling Digital and Print Examples” on www.gsacc.org website)

8. Sit back and enjoy watching as you and others get judged and commented on.

Hope to see all of you there. Maybe we can all have dinner before the start of the meeting?
